Professor Nophea Sasaki is a leading expert in nature-based solutions, carbon management, and sustainable development, currently serving as a professor at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). He is also a visiting professor at Sasin School of Management, where he spearheads the Sustainability Lab and ESG initiatives. With extensive experience in fostering innovative strategies for environmental sustainability, Professor Sasaki has led numerous projects focused on carbon capture, ecosystem restoration, and the application of advanced technologies for sustainability. His work emphasizes the integration of scientific research with practical solutions to address the triple planetary crisis—climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. As a respected authority in the field, he has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and mentored numerous graduate students in their pursuit of sustainable development goals. In this session, Professor Sasaki will guide the discussion on collaborative strategies for green transformation and water sustainability in ASEAN.
