Country: VIETNAM, HA NOI
Date: 10th-11th September 2020

The 8th ASEAN CIO Forum has been scheduled for coming September 10th to 11th 2020 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

This is in collaboration with Vietnam Software and IT Services Association “a.k.a VINASA” as co-host with ASEAN CIO Association “a.k.a ACIOA” to plan and organize the new modelled forum.
This forum is set to be interesting and opens with opportunities for ASEAN Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and supporting technology vendors from around the world to meet as each attempt to navigate the digital terrain that is constantly challenged by fast changing technology, competitive business demand faced both internally and externally to their organizations. It is also the first time that ACIOA change the way we conduct the country updates session to involve the supporting technology provider 8 to 10 weeks ahead; as well, we will include the first ASEAN Youth Debate on ASEAN DIGITAL FUTURE:
Facing digital future – technology, culture, business and politics.

As Vietnam whipped up plans to become leading digital economy in Asean by 2030, local leaders are working to take Vietnam into the global top 20 and Asean top three in terms of the global competitiveness index. Striving to build and develop efficient processes, effective system that grounds on transparency towards world’s top 50 in terms of e-government.

DIGITAL NATION MOVING BEYOND SMARTNESS is the theme for this year forum that encompasses a 3-day programme offering lots of interaction and exchange amongst participants of
ASEAN senior ranking delegates from both public and private sectors.
Many CIO’s responsibilities expanded with complexities, they are required to address business competition and to drive transformation with limited budget. All are inevitable, they are expected to understand full performance of being and running the digital leadership role to drive digital transformation. Those profound cybersecurity issues, regulatory changes by industry or government policy, familiarizing customer preferences using all statistics to address business demand, and an overarching scarcity of human resources in this specific field.

After 7 years of running the ASEAN CIO Forum, we are now launching a new approach to excite CIOs to join this forum; CIOs interaction and exchange begins with a workshop of choice, participate in plenary sharing as well gets to understand how ASEAN CIOs handle their growing needs of digital transformation and yet keeping cost down.

A 3-day program designed with lots of time for idea sharing and the emphasis of strong bonding of CIOs across ASEAN ++ so to support each other for future needs and knowledge.
