WHY be a part of 7th ASEAN CIO Forum in Bangkok, Thailand?

ASEAN youth is one powerful resource in any member state, they are known to be possible future leaders and CxOs. The 7th forum heralded for youth participations and cultivations for long term gains and to forge ahead together with one vision, one identity, one community slogan of ASEAN members nation.
ASEAN Chief Information/Innovation Officer Association a.k.a. ACIOA aligned since established in 2010, we reminded ourselves with tagline of “Your Country: Our ASEAN” with five core values to serve our members of C level in both public and private. Each defines CIOs traits of being adept, committed, innovative, openness and associates.

Recalling the last six forums, we are grateful to all hosted countries leaders for being supportive and encouraging. It started with Bangkok in 2012, Indonesia in 2013, Malaysia in 2014, Brunei in 2015, Cambodia in 2016, Laos PDR in 2017. With support by ASEAN Chair – Thailand is generously supporting this conference. We look to holding the next future conference in Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam in collaboration with respective member states agencies.

With a strong alignment to ASEAN, ACIOA will continue to stay innovative and dynamic to address technologies and enhanced connectivity; we believes that the new young generations being empowered and guided can reach new heights and the focus on 4th industrial program to step up on regional collaboration by being inclusive and people-driven towards a SMART economy. Experimenting technologies with vendors and partnering ASEAN CIOs to optimize their experience to support those who needs. This means practical application of proven knowledge, validating policies as innovations evolved and sensitive on all sustainable subject for a greener, better ASEAN CIOs’ cooperation.

As usual, ACIOA would poll for topics of discussion to align the context of the forum this year, enabling new business models using new technologies to improved business performance. Some would like to explore new revenue by boost of digital transformation within their operations. Others emphasize data structures integration to address effective decisions, cybersecurity as key enabler to entire new revolutions and learning new rope for talent retainment as well capacity development.

This forum addresses industry transformation inconsistency, tech talent development and bridge academia to industry supporting IR4.0 across ASEAN. ICT has always been the key driven in economic and social development and vital to transformation. With clarity that pervasive connectivity serves a deep role in business, entrepreneurship, investment and trade, ACIOA work on enrolling communities and businesses to collaborate and exercise the use of technology for the betterment of ASEAN.
